Need help with Retro Reality?
Camera isn’t working
Retro Reality needs access to your iPhone camera.
Open: Settings → Apps → Retro Reality → Camera and make sure Camera access is enabled.
If camera access was previously denied, enable it and reopen Retro Reality.
Can’t save a photo or clip
Retro Reality needs permission to add your creations to Photos.
Open: Settings → Apps → Retro Reality → Photos and make sure Retro Reality is allowed to add media.
How do I pixelate something?
Choose one of the four modes:
BOX — Draw a rectangular pixel area.
PERSON — Pixelate detected people.
PICK — Select a specific person.
OBJECT — Select an object.
How do I change the pixel look?
Tap LOOK in the upper-left area of the camera screen.
From there you can select preset pixel styles and adjust pixel size, brightness, color, warmth, tint and other available look controls.
How do I take a photo?
Tap the shutter button.
How do I record a clip?
Press and hold the shutter button.
Retro Reality 1.0 records short silent clips.
Does Retro Reality upload my camera video?
No.
Retro Reality performs its camera/image processing locally on your iPhone.
It does not upload your camera feed to Retro Reality servers.
